Popsicle Stick & Paint Splatter Troll Hair Craft
Hi, friends. My name is Stacey and I’m absolutely obsessed with jumbo popsicle sticks and paint splat crafts. That’s it. The end.
Now that we have THAT fun little fact out of the way, let me show you my latest “crafty creation” titled Popsicle Stick and Paint Splat Troll Hair craft idea. It’s simply perfect for kids AND adults to recreate today & it’s rather unique to our website {in fact – a first seen here for us!}
If you have been a long time follower of our kids craft blog, you already know that I’ve been on a roll lately with the “paint splat” crafts here on Glued To My Crafts. It’s becoming one of my new favorite mixed media obsessions to play with and share on my website. It seriously brings me back to my childhood days but with my “twist” of using Tulip puffy paint to create the symmetrical designs on paper, it’s quickly becoming quite an obsession that I love pushing out new ideas with!
So long story short, recently I discovered that my easy abstract marbled paint technique also makes for awesome and extra colorful tye-dye troll hair on paper. Just like a real troll, this DIY rainbow troll hair craft idea is bright, colorful and extra BOLD to look at!
When I brainstorming my idea, one thing led to another and bam – here we are today with this Paint Splat Troll Hair tutorial! I even threw in some of my favorite jumbo popsicle sticks to create the skin tone of what many of us remember the real trolls from!

Directions:
- To recreate this troll hair kid craft, simply have children fold a piece of white cardstock in half, squirt some Tulip Fabric Paint on one side, fold it back in half, squish it around and unfold to reveal the beautiful marble design underneath.
- Then set aside to let it dry, before you trim it down with scissors, to look like troll hair.
- Now take our original Popsicle Stick Trolls craft and replace the cardstock hair in that particular post, with your newly made paint splat hair piece!
- That’s it! Now repeat, over and over again and make a whole army of trolls!
- Then let your troll pieces dry completely before you display them proudly for ALL to see.
- With that being said – don’t forget to also tag us on Facebook and Instagram so we can admire them as well! #gluedtomycrafts
