Fingerprint Unicorn Hair Cards

With the help of some clipart files I recently purchased from LisaMarkleSparkles on Etsy, I was able to come up with this unicorn hair craft that I think you are going to LOVE!

It’s an easy unicorn craft idea that is super easy to make within minutes and it’s relatively inexpensive too. If you have a printer in your home – you are well on your way to pulling this DIY activity together and creating some great handmade pieces to gift to someone special in your life!

In this #gluedtomycrafts post, I’ve included a FREE unicorn head printable, so all you need to do is print the file on white cardstock paper, grab some of your favorite colored ink pads and have children decorate the unicorn’s hair with thumbprint marks.

Once done, trim out each section and attach to card fronts for easy gifting of your thumbprint unicorn hair cards. It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to pull it together!

Craft Supplies:

  • Card Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • WASHABLE Ink Pads
  • Baby Wipes
  • Small Rhinestone Stickers
  • Adhesive
  • Scissors
  • Cardstock Paper Cards

Directions:

  • First print out the free unicorn head card template printable on white cardstock.
  • Next grab your ink pads. Have children press their thumb {or any other finger} on the ink pad, then on the printable to create the unicorn’s hair. Change up the color and direction of each thumbprint, to make a mosaic look.
  • Repeat until you have the mosaic thumbprint look you like.
  • Repeat for each unicorn card in the printable.
  • When done, clean off your fingers with a baby wipe and a quick trip to the sink with soap & water.
  • Once done decorating the printable, trim out each section and attach them to the front of some simple cardstock cards.
  • To finish off the Thumbprint Unicorn Hair Cards, add small rhinestones to the cards, to make them sparkle!
  • Then gift away to the lucky receivers.
