Craft Supplies:

  • Wooden Craft Spoons – 1 per craft
  • Craft Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Markers
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Gold Craft Foam
  • School Glue
  • Scissors
  • Flower Embellishments
  • Rhinestones

Directions:

  1. First have children paint the body of the wooden spoons however they like {I went with a white unicorn look but the options are limitless on the color choice of the body!}
  2. Set aside to let them dry completely.
  3. While they are working on that – cut out from the cardstock and gold craft foam, a mouth/nose, long flowy hair, as well as a triangular horn.
  4. To finish off the Wooden Spoon Unicorns – simply glue the newly cut out embellishments to the wooden spoon, as well as the flower embellishments.
  5. Be sure to also draw on eyelashes with your black Sharpie marker to the face.
  6. Then add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter, small rhinestones etc.}
  7. Then display/play with proudly!

Wooden Spoon Unicorn Craft Idea For Kids

We LOVE unicorns and this craft spoon idea is just another fabulous addition to our blog archives!!!

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • 1 Wooden Craft Spoon
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Craft Paint
  • Rhinestone Stickers
  • Paint Brushes
  • Sharpie Markers
  • School Glue
  • Scissors
  • Paper Punches

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions: 
Prevent your screen from going dark

  • First have children paint the body of the wooden spoons however they like {I went with a white unicorn look but the options are limitless on the color choice of the body!}
    1 Wooden Craft Spoon, Craft Paint
  • Once done with the body, paint on a pink oval nose to the center of the "head" of the spoon.
  • Set aside to let them dry completely.
  • While they are working on that – cut out from the cardstock and gold craft foam, some small decorative flowers for the unicorn crown, long flowy hair, as well as a triangular horn.
    Cardstock Paper
  • To finish off the Wooden Spoon Unicorns – simply glue the newly cut out embellishments to the wooden spoon and draw on eyelashes with your black Sharpie marker to the face. Then add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter, small rhinestones etc}

  • Then display/play with proudly!
