Handprint Strawberry BERRY MUCH Card Idea

Now that I’ve shared Valentine’s Day gift ideas for kids, friends, your child’s teacher and even your significant other – it’s time to focus on the grandparents today!

Today’s latest and greatest tutorial is actually a super easy kid made gift idea was a “spur of the moment” craft the other night. After playing around with some ideas in my head, I’m so glad I took the time to create it with my son. With just a few simple steps, we were able to make this “Berry Much” Valentine Handprint Strawberry Card within minutes and get it in the mail the very next day even faster!

Since we are military, we live pretty far away from both our families. So handprint crafts like this one made by our son, is extra special to send to the grandparents. Sides that – handprint crafts are just the best to do at this age anyways. With kids growing so fast these days, it’s great to create keepsakes to remember those tiny hands.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your supplies and make these “berry” cute paper strawberry cards to send the grandparents today. Don’t forget to make one for yourself too and throw it in a scrapbook for safe keeping!

“Berry Much” Handprint Strawberry Card

Berry much fun your kids will have with this easy handprint strawberry card craft! Check out these super simple instructions.

Craft Supplies:

  • Cardstock Paper
  • Red Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Baby Wipes
  • Green Sharpie Marker
  • Letter Stickers or Marker
  • Craft Scissors
  • Glue Stick

Directions:

  • First things first – squirt a small amount of red craft paint on your paper plate.
  • Next – pick a hand. ANY HAND will do! 🙂
  • Now take the paint brush and dip it in the red paint.
  • Paint your child’s hand completely red and press it in the center of the white cardstock.
  • Lift up their hand carefully and remove excess paint from their hand with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
  • Now to give the handprint of the look of a strawberry. Simply draw on some green leaves and add some black dots all over the handprint with your Sharpie markers {or use craft paint instead!}
  • When done decorating it, set aside the handprint paper piece to let it dry completely.
  • Once dry, trim down the white piece of cardstock and glue it to a folded card front.
  • To finish the handprint strawberry card craft, add your scrapbook stickers or write out with a Sharpie marker to say “Love You Berry Much” on the front.
  • Then add a special message inside and slip in an envelope for mailing before the big Valentine’s Day holiday!
