Today’s easy Chick Handprint Card is a simple kid craft idea that can be done in a “spur of the moment.”
It doesn’t take much time, is pretty inexpensive and is perfect to send to someone in honor of Easter or just because. Make within minutes and get it in the mail the very next day!
And just a little background on why I love this craft so much – it’s simply perfect to send to grandparents.
Since we are military, we live pretty far away from both our families and these types of handprint crafts are extra special to keep them involved.
Sides that – handprint crafts are just the best to do at this age anyways. With kids growing so fast these days, it’s great to create little keepsakes to remember those tiny hands!
So what are you waiting for? Grab your paint supplies and make some adorable cards to send to grandparents and special friends today. Don’t forget to make one for yourself too and throw it in a scrapbook for safe keeping!
Happy crafting, my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures of your child’s handprint Easter chick card with us on our Facebook page to admire! #gluedtomycrasfts
Handprint Baby Chick Card Supplies:
* White/Green Cardstock
* Yellow/Orange/Black Craft Paint
* Paint Brushes
* Small Letter Scrapbook Stickers
* Basic Craft Scissors
* Glue Stick
* Baby Wipes
Directions:
* Simply paint your child’s hand completely yellow and press it on the white cardstock. To give the look of a chick – simply draw on some facial features and add some legs towards the palm of the handprint. Set aside to let it dry completely.
* Once dry, trim out the front of the card and glue to a piece of cardstock, that is folded in half.
* To finish the Chick Handprint Card, add your scrapbook stickers to say “A Little Chick Told Me” on the front. Then add a special message like “It’s Easter – Happy celebrating!” inside and slip in an envelope for mailing.
Other messages to include are “It’s your birthday!” “You were feeling under the weather – get well soon!” “That you need a pick me up!” “That you are awesome!” “That you are a year older!”
