Handprint Valentine Owl - Free Printable Template

Valentine’s Day is not only a celebration of love but also an ideal time to engage kids in crafting heartfelt keepsakes. Combining creativity and affection, handprint crafts bring a personal touch that makes for a memorable gift.

Today, we’re chirping about an adorable project: a Handprint Valentine’s Day Owl Keepsake that kids will love to recreate and share with those they hold dear!

Craft Supplies:

  • Keepsake Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Paper Plate
  • Paint Brush
  • Baby Wipes
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First print the free template printable on white cardstock paper. You only need one print per keepsake.
  • Next squirt some paint on a paper plate.
  • Dip the foam paint brush in the paint.
  • Now pick a hand to start with- any hand!
  • Paint the palm and fingers of your child’s hand & working quickly, press it on the printable, next to the owl’s body.
  • Use baby wipes to remove excess paint.
  • Repeat for the other hand/other side.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
  • If desired, add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter and scrapbook stickers!}
  • Then display/gift away your Handprint Valentine Owl craft proudly for all to see!
