This spring themed craft is not only engaging, but also encourages creativity and inspires learning.

Plus, it’s simple enough that your little ones can do almost all of it themselves — or with minimal help from you. They will be proud to show off their unique creations and have a blast crafting together with friends or family members (or just alone!)

In spirit of the upcoming spring weather and Easter holiday, today I’m sharing a fun tutorial for Popsicle Stick Handprint Carrots {perfect for the bunny lovers in your life!}

And I have to say, like I always do, this vegetable kids craft is really SIMPLE and almost costs nothing {what parents love to hear – am I right?!}

My little boy had fun creating these Easter themed pieces and I’m sure older kids will too. Plus they double as awesome decor. If you are planning on having an Easter party or similar celebration this year – just attach string to the back for easy hanging on doors, windows and walls.

Easy peasy – so get right on it! Happy crafting, my friends!!

Popsicle Stick Handprint Carrots - Kid Craft Popsicle Stick Handprint Carrots - Kid Craft

This fun and easy wood stick carrot craft idea is the perfect way for moms, teachers, educators, crafters – or any creative person – to help their children create something unique and lasting to celebrate the spring season!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • School Glue
  • Orange Craft Paint
  • Small Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Orange Cardstock Paper
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • Paper Craft Scissors
  • Pencil or Marker

Directions:

  • First grab three popsicle sticks {three per carrot} and glue them together to look like a triangle.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each carrot you want to make today.
  • Next up – squirt some orange craft paint on a paper plate.
  • Use your paint brush to paint your craft stick shape completely orange.
  • Set it aside again, to allow it to dry completely.
  • While those are drying, grab your orange paper and cut a triangle that will fit inside the popsicle stick design.
  • At this time, you should also trace/cut out your child’s handprint from the green paper.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Handprint Carrots – have children glue their paper pieces in place and top off with any other embellishments they see fit.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
