Carrot House Craft Idea For Kids
With this unique and first-seen-here craft idea from Glued To My Crafts, you and your child can BUILD a magical, one-of-a-kind piece that any “bunny” will love to come “home” to this spring season.
It only takes a few minutes from start to finish and just like traditional house building, you can decorate this popsicle stick version however you like. I highly suggest hitting up your local dollar store to make this carrot craft even more affordable! You don’t even need fancy materials to make it happen. Just grab some Easter egg shaped stickers and raid your craft stash for the rest!

With just a few simple steps, some popsicle sticks, glue, paint and cardstock paper you can create a beautiful carrot house that is great for kids of all ages. It’s an easy activity that both kids and adults will love making together!
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Mini Popsicle Sticks
- School Glue
- Green Cardstock Paper
- White Cardstock Paper
- Brown Cardstock Paper
- Paper Craft Scissors
- Sharpie Markers
- Orange Craft Paint
- Foam Paint Brush
- Small Paper Plate
- Easter Themed Stickers
Directions:
- First assemble the base of your bunny house by gluing your FOUR jumbo popsicle sticks and TWO mini popsicle sticks together to look like a door.
- Set it aside to let it dry completely.
- Repeat for each spring carrot house you want to make today.
- Next up – go ahead and grab your various sheets of colored cardstock paper, along with the scissors.
- Cut out a small door, rectangle chimney, four squares windows, the greenery for on top of the carrot etc.
- Use your Sharpie markers to draw on the details like bricks, doorknobs, window panes etc.
- Set aside all the paper pieces till the last step.
- Now grab your orange craft paint, the paint brush and paper plate.
- Squirt some paint on the paper plate.
- Grab the popsicle stick shape {make sure it’s completely secured} and flip it over so the flat/smooth side is facing you.
- Go ahead and paint the popsicle stick shape completely orange.
- Follow that up by gluing all the paper pieces you made earlier, in place. The windows, greenery and door go on the front, while the chimney on the back.
- To finish off the Popsicle Stick Carrot House, add any other embellishments you see fit. I added a small bunny sticker and a tiny eggs {I found these at Michaels!}
- When done decorating, set it all aside to allow it to dry completely before displaying proudly!
