Craft Supplies:
Before beginning, gather these materials to keep your crafting session smooth and stress-free:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 4 per craft
- Mini Popsicle Sticks – 2 per craft
- School Glue
- Cardstock Paper
- Scissors
- Sharpie Markers
- Orange Craft Paint
- Paint Brush
- Small Paper Plate
- Embellishments
Directions:
Follow these easy steps to create your carrot-shaped masterpiece:
- Begin by assembling the base of your bunny house. Glue together four jumbo popsicle sticks and two mini popsicle sticks to form a door-like shape.
- Set the assembled base aside and let it dry completely.
- Repeat this step for as many spring carrot houses as you want to create.
- Next, gather your colored cardstock along with scissors. Cut out all the necessary details: a small door, a rectangular chimney, four square windows, greenery for the carrot top, and any other decorative elements you’d like.
- Use Sharpie markers to add details like bricks, doorknobs, and window panes to the paper pieces. Set them aside for later assembly.
- Now it’s time to paint! Grab orange craft paint, a paintbrush, and a paper plate. Squeeze some paint onto the plate.
- Take your dried popsicle stick base (make sure it’s fully secure) and flip it so the smooth side faces up. Paint the entire surface orange and allow it to dry.
- Once the paint is dry, start assembling your carrot house. Glue on the paper pieces you prepared earlier—the windows, door, and greenery go on the front, while the chimney attaches to the back.
- Add finishing touches to personalize your Popsicle Stick Carrot House. Consider embellishments like a bunny sticker or tiny decorative eggs (I found mine at Michaels!).
- When you’re done decorating, set the house aside to dry completely before displaying it with pride!
- Don’t forget to snap a few photos of your creation to share with us. We love seeing your crafts come to life! Use #gluedtomycrafts to show off your masterpiece!
