Like I mentioned above, this is a great craft to recreate for the upcoming Easter holiday {especially for the little bunnies in the home!} If children can use scissors and hold a bottle of glue, they CAN recreate this carrot themed art project today!
Plus the little painted handprint embellishments on the top of the carrot, really tie it all together – don’t you think? With that being said, don’t forget that this is a great piece to set aside as a keepsake, for years to come! Just slide it into a scrapbook for safe keeping afterwards.
Well enough chit chat from me, I’ll you get to it! All the details you need to know can be found below in the full paper plate carrot tutorial! I even included a few alternative craft ideas below to get those crafty juices really flowing today!

Carrot Craft Supplies:
* Large Paper Plate – one per carrot craft
* Orange Construction Paper or Orange Tissue Paper
* School Glue
* Kid Friendly Craft Scissors
* White Cardstock
* Green Craft Paint
* Foam Paint Brush
* Baby Wipes
Directions:
* First things first – take your paper and cut it into a carrot/triangle shape – or some might say, a pizza shape.
* Next grab the orange construction paper {or tissue paper} and help your child cut/tear it into 2×2 inch squares.
* Now grab the paper plate piece and the school glue.
* Slather a good layer of white school glue on the newly trimmed paper plate and ask your child to place their orange squares on it, until it’s completely covered.
* Set aside to let it dry completely.
* Next make the stem of the carrot. Grab your green craft paint, small paper plate, white paper and the foam paint brush.
* Squirt the paint on the paper plate.
* Pick a hand – any hand!
* Use the paint brush to paint the palm of your child’s hand completely green.
* Working quickly, press the painted covered hand on the paper.
* Lift up their hand and clean off excess paint with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
* Once the painted handprint on the paper is dry enough, trim it out.
* To finish off your paper plate carrot, staple their paper handprint to the paper plate.
* Then display your carrot piece proudly for all to see!
