I just love paper plate craft ideas. It’s basically what Glued To My Crafts was first built on.

You can’t beat the price {nearly free} and they are so simple to make. I’ve shared so many paper plate crafts on our website throughout the years and by far – they are my favorite tutorials ideas to share.

So without further ado – if you are looking for a clever way to use up those paper plates you have been hoarding {you know you have a huge stack you aren’t touching} you are going to LOVE today’s Paper Plate Owl Witch craft tutorial!

Not only is this Halloween themed kids craft a great way to get crafty this afternoon – but it’s also really fun, completely customizable and great for children of ALL ages!

Paper Plate Owl Witch Paper Plate Owl Witch

Get crafty this Halloween and make your own Paper Plate Owl art project with the kids!

Craft Supplies:

  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Free Printable – on our landing page
  • Crayons, Coloring Pencils or Markers
  • Large Paper Plate
  • School Glue
  • Green Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Purple Cardstock Paper
  • Orange Cardstock Paper
  • Large Wiggle Eyes
  • Scissors
  • Stapler

Directions:

  • First things first – download and print out the provided FREE witch hat printable on white cardstock paper.
  • Once printed, go ahead and color in the hat design however you like.
  • When done coloring, trim out the hat shape and set it aside till later.
  • Next up – squirt some bright green craft paint in the center of the large paper plate.
  • Use the craft brush to paint the plate completely green.
  • When done, set it aside to let it dry a bit.
  • Now out of the remaining cardstock paper, go ahead and cut out some eyes {with the wiggle eyes on top} a triangle beak, handprint wings and heart shaped feet.
  • To finish off the Paper Plate Owl Witch – glue and/or staple all your paper pieces to the front of the paper plate, along with any other embellishments you see fit.
  • Then display proudly for ALL to see!
