Craft Supplies:

  • Hat Printable – on our landing page
  • Choice of Color Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Kraft Cardstock Paper
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Craft Scissors
  • Choice of Adhesive
  • Gold Star Stickers

Directions:

  • First things first, grab the free “wizard hat” file {listed above in the supply list} and print it out on your choice of colored cardstock paper.
  • If desired, you can color in the wizard hat but since I printed mine on colored paper, I could skip that step.
  • Anyways – trim out the hat piece and discard excess paper.
  • Now grab your white cardstock paper and trace both of your child’s hands {one at a time, in separate locations} on the paper.
  • When done tracing, trim them both out. This will be the beard for your wizard.
  • Finally – cut out a small oval nose shape from the kraft colored cardstock paper.
  • Now it’s time to start assembling! Grab your choice of adhesive and all the paper cutouts.
  • To finish off your Paper Wizard Keepsake, start off by gluing the two handprint cutouts {his beard} to under the wizard hat. Follow that up gluing on his button nose.
  • Finally – add some gold star stickers all over the wizard hat piece to really tie the theme together.
  • Now you can stop here or add any other embellishments you see fit, to give it your own personal spin!
  • Then display your handprint wizard gnome paper piece proudly for ALL to see!!
  • Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of your finished handprint gnome wizard on your phone and tag us on your various social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts
