Semi-Homemade Melted Pudding Witches

Semi-Homemade Melted Pudding Witches

This activity is the perfect combination of creativity and simplicity. It’s semi-homemade, meaning you can skip any complicated recipes and focus on the fun part—decorating! Using pre-made pudding cups or a quick instant pudding mix saves time, while the decorations add a personal touch that kids will love.

Snack Supplies:

Here’s what you’ll need to create your melted witches. Most items can be found at your local grocery or craft store.

  • Chocolate Pudding Cups – one container per person
  • Halloween Oreos
  • Paper Straws
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Plastic Baggie
  • Rolling Pin
  • Kitchen Scissors
  • Halloween Colored Sprinkles

Directions:

  • First you will want to assemble the “legs” of the witches. This is done by cutting a paper straw in half {one per pudding cup} and attaching some cardstock boots to each piece.
  • Set those aside to them dry completely.
  • Once you are ready to assemble your treats, open all the pudding cups you will be making/serving. Set those aside.
  • Place your Oreos in a plastic baggie and seal close.
  • Take a rolling pin {or other kitchen utensil} and crush the Oreos till they look like dirt.
  • Now take a spoonful of crushed Oreos and place them on top/inside the pudding cups, along with some sprinkles.
  • To finish the Melted Pudding Witches, place the “legs” in the pudding cup, facing upwards.
  • Serve immediately or store in fridge until serving time.

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
