Popsicle Stick Sloth Craft Idea

Today’s Sloth on Popsicle Stick Bamboo craft idea is a slow-paced DIY that older children can craft up at THEIR own rate, with minimal help or steps {just like a real sloth!}

It’s just a matter of tracing, cutting and adding your handprint sloth to a painted popsicle stick for him to “hang” on. That’s it! Nothing elaborate but still cute!!!

Plus you can customize it however YOU like and if desired – you can add magnets to the back to display on the fridge!

Paper Sloth on Popsicle Stick Bamboo - Kid Craft Idea

This is a craft idea that kids of all ages will enjoy. So gather up your supplies and get ready to have some fun with this sloth handprint craft idea!

Craft Supplies:

  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Tan Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons/Markers
  • Scissors
  • Tiny Wiggle Eyes
  • School Glue
  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks

Directions:

  • First things first – trace your hand on the tan/brown cardstock paper.
  • Trim out the traced handprint design.
  • Out of the remaining cardstock, cut out the head for the sloth.
  • Use the markers and wiggle eyes to bring the head piece to life.
  • Set aside all the paper pieces.
  • Now grab your popsicle stick and coloring materials again. Color the popsicle stick to look like green bamboo.
  • FINALLY, glue your handprint sloth cutout {and head shape on the thumb} to the popsicle stick “bamboo.”
  • Then let it dry completely before displaying your popsicle stick bamboo and sloth craft piece proudly!
