Valentine Mailbox Supplies:
* Large Paper Plate {one per mailbox craft}
* Craft Paint {I used a shade of pink}
* Large Foam Paint Brush
* Kid Friendly Scissors
* Red Colored Cardstock Paper
* Brown Colored Cardstock Paper
* Hand-Held Office Stapler
optional materials – small heart doily/scrapbook letter stickers
Directions:
* First, using our picture up above as an example, cut your paper plate to look like a mailbox.
* Save one little part of the paper plate you just cut off, for the “door” off the mailbox. Go ahead and trim it down a bit & staple it to your larger paper plate piece.
* Grab your paint. Have your child paint their mailbox piece however they like.
* Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
* While that is drying, cut out the mailbox flag, as well as the “wooden” post it will stand on out of the cardstock.
* To finish off the Paper Plate Valentine’s Day Mailbox – staple all your pieces in place, as well as any other embellishments you see fit {think name tag, hearts etc.}
* If you want, add a small heart doily or envelope sticking out the mailbox opening to really tie it together.
* Then of course – display proudly for all to see!
