Paper Plate Valentine's Day Mailbox - Kid Craft

This paper plate mailbox is the perfect craft to make with your kids this month! It’s easy, fun and can be personalized in any way you want.

Mailbox Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate
  • Craft Paint {I used a shade of pink}
  • Paint Brush
  • Scissors
  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Stapler
  • Embellishments

Check out our AMAZON storefront for supplies!

Directions:

  • First, using our picture up above as an example, cut your paper plate to look like a mailbox.
  • Save one little part of the paper plate you just cut off, for the “door” off the mailbox. Go ahead and trim it down a bit & staple it to your larger paper plate piece.
  • Grab your paint. Have your child paint their mailbox piece however they like.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
  • While that is drying, cut out the mailbox flag, as well as the “wooden” post it will stand on out of the cardstock.
  • To finish off the Paper Plate Valentine’s Day Mailbox – staple all your pieces in place, as well as any other embellishments you see fit {think name tag, hearts etc.}
  • If you want, add a small heart doily or envelope sticking out the mailbox opening to really tie it together.
  • Then of course – display proudly for all to see!
