Popsicle Stick Valentine’s Day Hearts

Today’s post from Glued To My Crafts is hassle-free Valentine’s Day crafting at it’s finest. These Popsicle Stick Hearts won’t break the bank or your little “heart” either/ Promise!!

I challenge YOU to raid your craft stash for wooden craft sticks, glue, paint and glitter & make some awesome Valentine’s Day themed heart shaped pieces, from wood, with ease today. It’s an engaging hands-on project that’s simple for the WHOLE family to make. Then use your finished wood heart shapes as lovestruck home decor or throw a party afterwards, so you can display them proudly for ALL to see on Valentine’s Day!

Popsicle Stick Hearts - Kid Craft For Valentine's Day

Our Wood Craft Stick Valentine Heart tutorial for kids is so easy to follow and sure to be a big hit with your little ones!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo, Wooden Craft Sticks
  • School Glue
  • Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Loose Craft Glitter/Glitter Glue

Directions:

  • First lay down four popsicle sticks next to each other.
  • Grab your glue and remaining four popsicle sticks.
  • Glue those on TOP of the other four, in the opposite direction to form a heart {use our picture for example!}
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Repeat for each craft heart you want to make.
  • Once completely dry, grab your craft paint, paint brushes and paper plate.
  • Squirt paint on your paper plate and have children paint the front of their popsicle stick shape however they like.
  • While the paint is still wet, sprinkle some glitter on top.
  • Then set aside your beautiful 3-D Heart with Popsicle Sticks, to let them dry completely {shaking off excess glitter} before displaying proudly!!!
