Paper Plate Panda Craft Idea For Kids
Calling all my crafty {and polite} kids! I have another kid friendly craft for you all and it’s absolutely worthy of your time today!
Not only is our Paper Plate Panda craft idea super simple and fun for all ages – but it also goes along PERFECTLY with the adorable & fun book Please, Mr Panda by Steve Antony.
“Steve Antony has captured a cute panda, delightful animals hungry for doughnuts, and a manners lesson. With the black-and-white animals, plain backgrounds, and brightly colored doughnuts, Antony’s art is bold, striking, and engaging.”
So what is the proper way to ask Mr. Panda for doughnuts? Well – to find out, you need to channel your inner artist with our easy paper plate and tissue paper panda kid craft tutorial that you will find below and then you can read the book in celebration afterwards, to find out the “how to!”
Happy crafting my friends! {by the way – our Paper Plate Donut also goes along perfectly with this children’s book as well!}

This fun and easy paper plate craft is perfect for kids of all ages! It’s easy to make and is a great way to learn about pandas.
Craft Supplies:
- Large, White Paper Plate
- White Tissue Paper
- Black Cardstock Paper
- School Glue or Glue Stick
- Kid Friendly Scissors
- Office Stapler
Directions:
- First have your children cut the white tissue paper into small squares.
- Now take your paper plate and put a good amount of glue in the center of the plate.
- Have children place the tissue paper on top of the glue, until the center is completely covered. This is the start of the panda’s face.
- While they are working on that, cut out the facial features of the panda from the black cardstock {think eyes, ears, nose, mouth, etc.}
- To finish off the panda paper plate craft – have children glue on the cardstock pieces to the paper plate. I would start with the panda ears and then work from there.
- Go ahead and also add other embellishments you see fit, before you display it proudly for all to see.
