Paper Plate Grinch - Christmas Kid Craft

Christmas crafting season is here, and there’s no better way to get kids excited about the holidays than with a simple, fun project they can complete in under an hour. This paper plate Grinch craft combines the beloved Dr. Seuss character with easy-to-find materials, making it perfect for families, classrooms, or holiday parties.

The Grinch has been a Christmas favorite for generations, and this craft captures his mischievous charm while developing fine motor skills and creativity.

Best of all, you probably already have most of the supplies at home, making this an ideal last-minute activity when you need to keep little hands busy during the holiday season.

Paper Plate Grinch - Christmas Kid Craft

Check out this super simple Paper Plate Grinch craft!! It’s a fun, festive DIY that the whole family can enjoy. This Christmas grinch craft is sure to be a hit!

Craft Supplies:

Gathering your supplies is half the fun of any craft project. For this paper plate Grinch, you’ll need:

  • Large Paper Plate – 1 per craft
  • Green Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Black Puffy Paint
  • Black Marker
  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Yellow Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • School Glue
  • White Cotton Balls

Directions:

  • First things first – squirt some craft paint in the center of your paper plate and have children spread it around with a paint brush, until it’s completely GREEN! Set aside when done.
  • Grab your cardstock and scissors.
  • Cut out a Santa hat, as well as TWO eyes for the grinch.
  • Now grab the stapler and staple the cardstock pieces in place, on the paper plate.
  • Take some school glue and line the rim of the Santa hat with cotton balls.
  • To finish off the Paper Plate Grinch, use the black puffy paint to draw on a smile and use the black Sharpie to draw in some eyes for the Grinch.
  • Add any other embellishments you like, set aside to let it dry completely and display proudly for ALL to see!

  • Foam Paint Brush

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:
