With just a little bit of time, this chalk art panda craft makes boredom instantly disappear while helping kids practice their fine motor skills – all while having tons of fun in the process!

Craft Supplies:

  • Panda Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Coloring Pencils, Markers
  • Scissors
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • White Chalk
  • Baby Wipes
  • Adhesive
  • Large Wiggle Eyes

You can find ALL our favorite craft supplies via our AMAZON SHOP link!

Directions:

  • First things first – grab our free panda printable, listed above in the supply list. This will give you a few features to make your panda come to life on the paper.
  • Next, go ahead and find it on your computer, right click and print the file on a single sheet of white cardstock. You only need ONE printable to make one chalk art panda craft today. Print as many as you like but only use our file for personal use please.
  • Now that you have the printable, go ahead and color in the various sections of the printable. The only thing I left blank was the nose piece.
  • Once done coloring, trim out each shape.
  • Discard excess paper.
  • Set aside various cat cutouts.
  • Now grab a single sheet of black cardstock and your white sidewalk chalk.
  • Make several lines going outward from the center of the paper {see our image for example} to make the “fur” for your panda. Add as many lines and colors that you like. You want it to be nice and “fluffy” though.
  • Use baby wipes to clean off excess chalk from fingers and hands.
  • When done with the chalk, go ahead and grab your panda cutouts from earlier & your glue stick.
  • Starting with the oval shape {which is the mouth of the panda} glue the shape to the center of your chalk art design you just made.
  • Follow that up with the eye pieces, circle ears and gluing on the wiggle eyes.
  • Now add any other embellishments you see fit.
  • Then display your chalk art panda paper piece proudly for all to see!
  • We hope you encouraged to share pictures of your child’s finished paper panda craft on our Facebook page to admire from afar!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
