This easy kids craft is perfect for a rainy day! Learn how to make a beautiful handprint cloud and tissue paper rainbow.
Craft Supplies:
- Large Paper Plate
- Tissue Paper
- School Glue
- Scissors
- Stapler
- White Cardstock Paper
- Pencil or Marker
Directions:
- First cut your paper plate in half. Straight up the center to create TWO equal paper plate pieces.
- Reserve one half for today’s craft and save the other for another day {maybe use it for our Chalk Art Rainbow Pot of Gold tutorial!}
- Cut your tissue paper into small squares and separate them into piles by color.
- Starting on the outer ring of the paper plate, put a line of glue.
- Have children place one color of tissue paper on that line. Repeat for the next line, until the paper plate looks like a rainbow.
- Once done, set aside.
- While that piece is drying, trace your child’s hands on the white cardstock. Trim out with scissors.
- To finish off the tissue paper rainbow craft, simple staple on the handprint “clouds” to the paper plate.
- Now display the beautiful rainbow cloud proudly for all to see!
