It’s that time of year again when the snow starts to fall, and kids are eager to build their first snowman of the season. But who wants to go outside in the cold?!
Well we have a solution for YOU! Here’s a festive craft idea to keep them occupied and amused – a handprint snowman snow globe!
Not only is it a fun way for kids to show off their handiwork, but it also doubles as a charming decoration for your home during the winter months.

Craft Supplies:
- SNOW GLOBE ON BOX.COM
- Color Printer
- Blue Cardstock Paper
- White Cardstock Paper
- Black Cardstock Paper
- Pencil
- Orange Marker
- Black Marker
- Craft Scissors
- White Tissue Paper
- Adhesive
- Embellishments
Instructions:
- First things first, grab the free “snow globe” file {listed above in the supply list} and print it out on BLUE cardstock paper.
- Next up – grab your white cardstock paper and pencil.
- Pick a hand – any hand will do!
- Trace your child’s hand on the paper.
- When done tracing, trim it out.
- Finally – decorate each fingertip to look like a snowman. I added a face with the markers and then black cardstock hats for each.
- You now have all your pieces and it’s time to start assembling! Grab your choice of adhesive and your decorated handprint cutout.
- Glue the snowmen “IN” the snow globe design, right in the center of the printable.
- To finish off your snowman snow globe keepsake, add some tissue paper “snow” along the bottom of the handprint, as well as your embellishments.
- Then display your handprint snowmen piece proudly, for ALL to see!!
