Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or caregiver, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know to bring this craft idea to life.

Craft Supplies:

Here’s everything you’ll need to get started on your torn paper apple masterpiece:

  • Construction Paper {any color!}
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Apple of My Eye Printable – from our landing page
  • School Glue
  • Large Googly Eyes
  • Embellishments

You probably already have most of these items at home! If not, they’re easily available at local craft stores or even dollar stores.

Directions:

Begin by setting up an organized crafting station. Follow these steps to create your torn paper apple card:

  • First things first – download and print out the FREE provided blank “love you to the core” printable listed above, on a single piece of white cardstock paper.
  • Next up, help your child cut/tear their red {or green} construction paper into small pieces.
  • Now have them use school glue to glue those pieces inside the apple design in the printable. Remind the kids that the goal isn’t perfection—it’s about having fun and creating something that’s entirely their own.
  • The final step is to have kids add a “face” to their apple, as well as anything else they see fit.
  • Allow the paper piece to dry completely before gifting away!
