It’s the perfect excuse to say “Some BUNNY loves you” and it double as a sweet Easter keepsake as well! All you need is a raw potato, paint and cardstock paper!
Not to mention, it’s seriously so easy to recreate {and stinkin’ cute!} that you have NO excuse not to recreate it with your little BUNNY today! Keep scrolling for ALL the details from us!
The Craft Supplies:
- Large, Raw Potato
- Sharp Kitchen Knife {adult supervision only!}
- Small Paper Plate
- Small Paint Brush
- White Craft Paint
- Baby Wipes {for easy cleanup!}
- Cardstock Paper For The Card {preferably something dark so the white will really stand out}
- Pink Cardstock Paper
- Scissors
- Markers
- Glue Stick
- Small Wiggle Eyes {two per card}
Directions:
- The first step is for the ADULTS to handle – cut the raw potato in half. Straight down the center to create two equal pieces. Keep one half for your bunny card craft and use the other for our potato stamped penguin card tutorial.
- Now take a sheet of cardstock paper and fold it in half to make a simple card.
- Next squirt some white craft paint on the small paper plate.
- Have children dip the potato half {the raw end} into the white craft paint and smear it around so it’s well covered.
- Working quickly, then stamp the potato ONCE in the center of the folded card you just made.
- Be sure to return the potato half back to the paper plate so you don’t make a mess.
- Next up – the bunny ears! Use a small paint brush and the remaining white craft paint on the paper plate, to paint one of your child’s fingers completely white.
- Again, working quickly, place their finger near the top of the potato stamped design to create an ear. Repeat for the second ear.
- Once the ears are down, go ahead and clean off their finger with a baby wipe and a quick trip to the sink.
- Next have children give the “rabbit” life by either drawing {or cutting/gluing} on some facial features like a cute pink button nose and whiskers. Don’t forget to also add the wiggle eyes so he can see!
- To finish off the Potato Stamped Bunny Cards, have children add “Some BUNNY Loves You” around the potato stamped design.
- Then gift or mail away to the lucky receiver!
- Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram when you are done so we can admire your hard work! #gluedtomycrafts
