Potato Stamped Bunny Cards

We are going to show you how to make these cute and easy potato stamped bunny cards – perfect for Easter, birthdays, Mother’s Day, and more!

Not only are they fun to create but also incredibly rewarding as your kiddo gets to express themselves through art!

Craft Supplies:

  • Large, Raw Potato
  • Sharp Kitchen Knife {adults only!}
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Small Paint Brush
  • White Craft Paint
  • Baby Wipes
  • Cardstock Paper For The Card
  • Pink Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Glue Stick
  • Small Wiggle Eyes

Directions:

  • The first step is for the ADULTS to handle – cut the raw potato in half. Straight down the center to create two equal pieces. Keep one half for your bunny card craft and use the other for our potato stamped penguin card tutorial.
  • Now take a sheet of cardstock paper and fold it in half to make a simple card.
  • Next squirt some white craft paint on the small paper plate.
  • Have children dip the potato half {the raw end} into the white craft paint and smear it around so it’s well covered.
  • Working quickly, then stamp the potato ONCE in the center of the folded card you just made.
  • Be sure to return the potato half back to the paper plate so you don’t make a mess.
  • Next up – the bunny ears! Use a small paint brush and the remaining white craft paint on the paper plate, to paint one of your child’s fingers completely white.
  • Again, working quickly, place their finger near the top of the potato stamped design to create an ear. Repeat for the second ear.
  • Once the ears are down, go ahead and clean off their finger with a baby wipe and a quick trip to the sink.
  • Next have children give the “rabbit” life by either drawing {or cutting/gluing} on some facial features like a cute pink button nose and whiskers. Don’t forget to also add the wiggle eyes so he can see!
  • To finish off the Potato Stamped Bunny Cards, have children add “Some BUNNY Loves You” around the potato stamped design.
  • Then gift or mail away to the lucky receiver!
  • Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram when you are done so we can admire your hard work! #gluedtomycrafts
