Paper Doily Melted Snowman Card To Send This Winter Season

Let’s face it – when winter comes along {primarily when the snow starts falling pretty hard} it can be a debbie-downer for some people.

On that note, I really do stick to my challenge that YOU should brighten a friend or family members day, with this easy handmade snowman card tutorial! It’s perfect for a simple winter sentiment inside or even something you add to your Christmas gifts this year.

All it requires is some inexpensive white paper doilies, colored cardstock and a little creativity with scissors & glue!

Adults and older children can join each other on the craft table, as they “melt” their very own snowman on a card front. I could easily see this idea being a winter boredom buster turned handmade gifts with ease! Especially if you are planning on buying some gift cards and want a clever way to “gift” them to the lucky receivers!

DIY Paper Doily Melted Snowman Card

Craft Supplies:

  • White Paper Doilies
  • Cardstock Card Fronts
  • Craft Adhesive or Glue Stick
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Orange Sharpie Marker
  • Black Sharpie Marker

Directions:

  • First things first – grab one 4.5 inch white doily per snowman card.
  • Use adhesive to adhere the white doily to the front of your square card front. This will be the “melted puddle” of the snowman.
  • Next grab your black colored cardstock and scissors.
  • Cut out a basic, small snowman hat from the paper.
  • Go ahead and glue down the hat to the center of the white paper doily.
  • Now grab your orange and black Sharpie markers.
  • Make two black dots for the snowman’s eyes.
  • Follow that up by drawing on a small orange carrot nose.
  • The final step – open up the card and write a sweet sentiment inside for the lucky receiver.
  • Add other embellishments you see fit, like stickers, glitter, stamped embellishments etc.
  • Finally – it’s time to your creation gift away!
