Get creative with the little ones in your life and make some awesome SMORES artwork together!

It’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon together, and your finished product will be something you can both cherish for years to come!

Black Glue & Watercolor S'mores Craft Idea For Kids

Who says s’mores are only for eating? This Fall, let’s turn those delicious treats into an exciting, creative project for your kids. Introducing our “Black Glue Watercolor S’mores” craft—a unique and fun way to celebrate the cozy season while boosting your little one’s artistic skills.

Ready to make it happen? Let’s gather your materials, prepare your workspace, and get ready for a fun-filled, artistic adventure with your little ones. Happy crafting, my friends!

Craft Supplies:

  • SMORE Printable {ON OUR LANDING PAGE}
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Colorful Watercolors
  • Small Paint Brush
  • Small Dish w/tap water
  • Black Glitter Glue
  • Flat/Wipeable Surface

Directions:

  • First things first – print the SMORES TEMPLATE listed above, on simple white cardstock {or any color you like!}
  • Next, if desired, you can cut the smores template out with scissors before or after you paint them. I opted for not cutting mine out but it’s just another angle you can take this craft 🙂
  • Now it’s time to paint! Let the kids go wide and paint their little hearts out! Remember – you can make this a teachable moment on how to make different shades of BROWN, with the colors they have in front of them!
  • For added flair {and more crafty fun} have children add black glitter glue around the edges and inside the painted s’more design.
  • Set aside to let it dry when done.
  • Finally – display your Watercolor S’mores Friend paper creation proudly for all to see!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
