This craft not only sparks creativity but also helps children learn about the beauty of nature. Let’s explore how you can create these stunning fall leaves with your kids this season.
Craft Supplies:
To get started on your fall leaves project, gather some basic supplies.
- LEAF Printable – on our fall landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Crayola Watercolor Pencils
- Paint Brush
- Small Dish w/tap water
- Paper Craft Scissors
- Gold Glitter Glue
- Loose Craft Glitter
Directions:
- First download and print the LEAF TEMPLATE LISTED ABOVE on a single sheet of white cardstock paper {or any color you like!}
- Next, if desired, you can cut the leaf template out with scissors before or after you paint them. Just food for thought – waiting to cut the leaf out after it’s painted, could leave you with less mess with little ones 🙂
- Now it’s time to paint! Let the kids go wide and paint their little hearts out! Remember – the more paint, the better!
- Set aside to let it dry when done.
- For added flair {and more crafty fun} have children add glitter glue or glitter around the edges of the painted watercolor leaves.
- Finally – display your hard work proudly!
- Don’t forget to share pictures with us as well! #gluedtomycrafts
