Craft Supplies:

Before you begin, it’s essential to gather all the necessary materials. This ensures a smooth crafting experience and keeps the kids focused and excited. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Decorative Leaves {or real from outdoors}
  • Large Paper Plate
  • School Glue
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • optional materials – fall themed stickers

These materials are easy to find, and you might already have most of them at home. If you’re using real leaves, take a fun nature walk with the kids to collect them. This adds an extra layer of excitement and exploration to the project.

Directions:

  • First put a good amount of school glue ALL over the paper plate.
  • Now have children take the various leaves and place them on the paper plate, until it’s completely covered.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • While that is drying – go ahead and trace your child’s handprint/arm on the brown cardstock with the pencil.
  • Trim out the traced handprint design, to make the tree trunk of the craft.
  • To finished off the Paper Plate Fall Tree craft, staple the handprint cutout to the paper plate.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit {maybe an owl sticker or two on the tree branches!}
  • Then allow it dry completely before you display it proudly for all to see!!
