No Sew Felt Sandwich Play Food

No sewing skills required to make these homemade felt sandwiches – perfect for imaginary play and so much fun!

No Sew Felt Sandwich Play Food - Busy Bag Idea To Make

DIY Sandwich Play Food Set

Happy Monday everyone!!! I’m starting this week off, with another busy bag idea! {Did you catch the others I have been sharing lately??} With a little colored felt and some imagination – you can make a “fake” felt sandwich for your child too!

My son loves pretending to build the felt sandwich I made him {and eat it} while I love the fact that I get to teach him objects, colors and names along the way. And don’t think this is just for toddlers either. I’m sure older kids can will enjoy playing with it as well!

Our Pretend Play Felt Sandwich craft idea would be great to add to a play kitchen, along with other fake felt food! You go even throw it under the Christmas tree or in a Easter basket as well!

Directions:

  • First decide which pieces you want for the sandwich and pull aside the colored felt pieces needed.
  • Next -you can either free hand {or make a template} for the sandwich shapes. Make sure the sandwich pieces will fit inside your container. Then cut out the desired pieces, along with any other extra shapes you might need.
  • If you need to – glue pieces together. {Example – for the bread I did brown & white felt. For the tomato, I added some white triangles in the center}
  • Assemble and store in sandwich container until playtime.
