I’m so excited to be sharing this Spaghetti Sensory Bin Idea that goes PERFECTLY with the childhood favorite book Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
My son absolutely LOVED playing with this sensory bin and I loved it even more, because it was super easy and inexpensive to put together.
After grabbing some other supplies from our kitchen and throwing in some red plastic {most importantly – clearance} ornaments to represent the “meatballs” – we were well on our way to a fun learning and busy experience.
Besides the ornaments – you can also throw in other things like plastic fruit/veggies etc to really represent the story.
Then make a full afternoon of it, by reading the book and/or watching the movie, while your child plays. My son really loved being a chef and squeezing the noodles between his fingers. It was just plain ole simple fun!
Ready to learn how I did it? Read the easy step-by-step tutorial below and get ready for some fun!
Happy crafting, my friends! #gluedtomycrafts

* Add 1-2 tbsp of oil to the noodle mixture. Mix until noodles are well coated and not sticking together.
* Now throw your noodles in your plastic bin.
* Add in the red ornaments, as well as other optional items.
* Grab some tongs and let your child play with their “spaghetti and meatballs.”
* Have them serve it up or just squeeze it in their fingers!

Another favorite of ours. We also substituted yarn for this theme. I like to be able to leave things out for as long as the kids enjoy them. You rick.
