Foam Easter Egg Cupcake Craft

PRINT THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS CRAFT -

Easter is a great time to get creative and have some crafty fun! That’s why we’re excited to share with you how to make this adorable Craft Foam Easter Egg Cupcake.

Not only are they easy-to-make, but they also provide a festive way for kids of all ages to be creative on a rainy day or in the classroom.

Craft Foam Easter Egg Cupcake Friends - Kid Craft

Easter Egg Cupcake Craft

These craft foam egg shaped cupcake friends are simply adorable and EXTRA sweet! Perfect for recreating during the spring and Easter season!

Best part? No two will be “baked” the same. It’s whatever embellishment supplies {like glitter, colored cardstock paper, craft paint} you have on hand and how your child decides to “decorate” their piece.

I can tell you a million steps and the perfect way to do it – but ultimately, these cupcake friends can be made however you like! We just set up the framework for you in this tutorial and it’s our hope you run with it! Isn’t that what craft time is all about?

So on that note, keep scrolling for all the details and be sure to tag us on Instagram if you decide to share pictures of your cupcake egg creations, so we can see them as well! Much love to you all and happy crafting, my dear friends! #gluedtomycrafts

PAIR THIS CUPCAKE CRAFT WITH —> Foam Egg Easter Gnome

Easter Egg Cupcake Friends - Kid Craft

Not only are these Easter egg cupcakes adorable, but they’re also super easy and enjoyable to make!

SUPPLIES:

  • Craft Foam Egg Shapes
  • Scissors
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Glitter Glue
  • Glue Stick or School Glue
  • Googly Eyes
  • Embellishments

DIRECTIONS:

  • The first step I would recommend, is making the cupcake “liner” first. I cut that out of brown cardstock and glued it on to the larger end of the craft foam egg. This allowed me to see where everything else should go.
  • Next I cut out some white “frosting” for the top of the egg. I glued that down and added a “cherry” heart sticker on top.
  • Finally – the last step is bringing it to life. I glued down the wiggle eyes and then drew on a smiley face with some markers.
  • For added sparkle and some dimension to my craft, I drew lines of gold glitter glue on the cardstock cupcake liner cutout. This really gave it that polished “cupcake” look.
  • Then set aside to let it dry completely, before displaying proudly!
