Before you know, Easter will be knocking on our doorsteps and the crafting chaos will begin! So of course – I’m getting ahead of the mad rush and sharing an Easter Egg Trucks kid craft idea with you all today! This way you can plan, participate AND have happy kids this upcoming spring season!!!

Inspired by my son and sometimes the lack of “boyish” crafts this time of year – this Easter Egg Truck craft tutorial is perfect for everyone to participate in! I’ve even included a FREE printable below, so you can put a little “chicken” inside your egg with ease!

Kids will love making these adorable Easter egg trucks out of craft foam for a fun and unique craft project. Show us your creations – we can’t wait to see!

Craft Supplies:

  • Foam Easter Eggs
  • Free Printable – on our spring landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons/Markers
  • Scissors
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Adhesive
  • Small Flower Stickers

Directions:

  • First you will want to give your chicken to life! After you print the free provided file listed above, color in one of the chicken designs and trim it out afterwards. You want ONE chicken per egg truck.
  • Now is the base of your truck. Grab a craft foam Easter egg and cut out a small section so your chicken can fit inside and drive the truck.
  • Next grab your cardstock paper and cut out a window, wheels, light and anything else your truck might need!
  • To finish off your Easter Egg Trucks w/Bunnies Inside craft – glue on your cardstock paper embellishments, as well as some flower stickers on the wheels, to bring the theme together nicely.
  • Add anything else you see fit for a custom look.
  • Then set aside to let it dry completely, before displaying {driving} proudly!!!
