Popsicle Stick & Curling Ribbon Octopus Craft
Using simple materials from your local dollar store and/or items you probably already have on hand, you and your child can pull this summer themed craft idea together within minutes!
Then use your finished craft stick octopus as a beach themed decoration and/or a pretend play piece that any little swimmer will love!

This fun octopus craft is perfect for kids of all ages! It’s simple to make and a great way to use up popsicle sticks.
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Curling Ribbon
- Wiggle Eyes
- Craft Paint
- Paint Brush
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
Directions:
- First assemble the base of your octopus by gluing your popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {7 next to each and two across to make a square shape.}
- Set aside to let it dry completely.
- Next {if you like} have children paint the front of their popsicle stick shape any color they desire!
- To finish off the Popsicle Stick Octopus craft, cut several strips of long curling ribbon.
- Glue those to the back of the popsicle stick design, so they flow down nicely and look like tentacles.
- Then glue down the two wiggle eyes and either decorate with glitter, rhinestones or even more craft paint before displaying proudly!!!
