Popsicle Stick Octopus - Kid Craft

This fun octopus craft is perfect for kids of all ages! It’s simple to make and a great way to use up popsicle sticks.

Craft Supplies:

Here are the supplies needed for this craft:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks –  9 per craft
  • Curling Ribbon
  • Wiggle Eyes – 2 per craft
  • Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Glue Sticks

Directions:

Follow these simple steps to craft your very own octopus:

  • Begin by creating the base of your octopus. Arrange seven popsicle sticks side by side like a fence and glue two sticks horizontally across the back to secure them, forming a square shape.
  • Set the base aside and allow it to dry completely.
  • Once dry, let the children paint the front of the popsicle stick base in any color they choose for a fun, personalized touch.
  • To complete your craft, cut several long strips of curling ribbon to serve as tentacles. Popsicle Stick Octopus
  • Attach the ribbon to the back of the popsicle stick base with glue, ensuring the strands flow down naturally like octopus legs.
