Craft Supplies:

  • Craft Foam Hearts – 1 per fish craft
  • Small Craft Foam Hearts
  • School Glue
  • Large Wiggle Eyes – 1 per fish craft
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • Start by giving each child a large craft foam heart to use as the base for their fish. Encourage them to get creative and decorate their heart however they like!
  • Provide small craft foam hearts for the children to use as fins, lips, and scales. Let them glue these pieces onto their fish in any arrangement they prefer – remind them that every fish in the ocean is unique, and their creations can be too!
  • Once the basic fish shape is complete, invite the children to take their designs to the next level by adding fun embellishments. Offer materials like glitter, rhinestones, sequins, or even googly eyes to make their fish sparkle and shine.
  • Encourage them to experiment with patterns, colors, and textures to make their fish truly one-of-a-kind.
  • After all the decorations are in place, set the fish aside to dry completely.
