Heart Fish Valentine’s Day Cards
If you have been following us this week on Glued To My Crafts, you may have noticed that I’ve been on a roll with turning inexpensive paper heart doilies from Dollar Tree into eye-catching Valentine’s Day pieces. I’m kinda obsessed at this point…
Best part of this current obsession of mine? They haven’t taken much effort or supplies to craft up either. Isn’t that beautiful music to any parent this time of year?
Kids can typically make these DIY fish card pieces by themselves {mom MIGHT have to step in for a little guidance or directions} but really, these are great for any school age kid to recreate by themselves AND have some awesome customization at their fingertips as well.
Whether for a boy or girl – these paper heart doily fish cards are sure to be a real winner in the classroom, so be sure to make a whole SCHOOL of fish, all at once!!! Punny – right?!
Anyways – it’s time to get to crafting! You can find EVERYTHING you need to know, in the full tutorial below! Happy crafting, my dear friends! #gluedtomycrafts

Directions:
- First things first – use adhesive to adhere your paper doily to the center of a single sheet of cardstock. You will want your heart to be sideways to give the look of a fish.
- Next, take some cardstock and trim/punch out a heart shape fin for your fish. Adhere it your cardstock, where the heart is bigger {I would like to say in the “crack” of the paper doily heart.}
- Now take your wiggle eye and place it on the opposite side/down on the paper heart doily.
- Use a large glue dot to now add your heart chocolate as the fish lips, on the bottom {tip} of the paper heart doily.
- Now the final step – take your paper trimmer and NOW trim down your card to create the valentine. The size of yours may depend on how big you made your fish fin. I do not suggest these to go in an envelope but I think you knew that already 🙂 Add other embellishments you see fit when done trimming.
- Finally – it’s time to gift your heart doily fish card creation away proudly!
