The Supplies To Make TWO Cupcake Cards:
- Circular Paper Doilies {any color or size you like!}
- Colored Cardstock Paper {we used white, red and brown}
- Craft Adhesive {like a adhesive tape runner}
- Rhinestone Stickers and/or Heart Stickers
- Scissors/Paper Trimmer
- Glitter Glue
Directions:
For this card craft, I suggest working a bit backwards on your steps. Since everyone’s cupcake shape/size could be different, don’t make your finished card shape until your cupcake piece is done first. Then trim out to give away.
- So on that note, first things first – take your paper doily and cut it into equal halves. This will give you TWO cupcake themed cards.
- Use adhesive to adhere one paper doily half to a sheet of white cardstock. This is the “frosting” of the cupcake.
- Now take another sheet of cardstock and cut out the “cup” of the cupcake.
- Next, adhere that piece to a sheet of white cardstock. Add a “cherry” embellishment on top and “glitter glue” sprinkles.
- Take your paper trimmer and NOW trim down your card to create the card. The size of yours may depend on how big you made your cupcake. Because of the odd shape of your card, I do suggest either gifting as is or making your own card {Pinterest would be my go-to place to learn how to make an envelope!}
- Add other embellishments you see fit {like lines on the cupcake bottom to give it more definition} You can also add chocolate hearts to your pieces like we did in our Paper Doily Valentines – Roundup
- Finally – it’s time to give away your Doily Cupcake Cards!
