The month of February is the perfect opportunity for kids to get creative and express their love through art.

One adorable and simple craft that’s perfect for the occasion is our “Paper Doily Love Bird on Tree Branch” tutorial. These charming feathered friends are not only fun to make but also a delightful way for kids to add a personal touch to their Valentine’s Day celebrations!

This Valentine’s Day, add a pinch of creativity and a spoonful of love to your festivities with a delightful paper doily love bird craft.

Perfect for kids and kids-at-heart alike, this charming creation combines the sweetness of love birds and the elegant texture of paper doilies.

It’s a craft that is certain to spread the love and flutter into the hearts of everyone this season of affection!

Paper Heart Doily Love Bird Craft Idea For Kids-3

It’s a super simple handmade Valentine’s Day craft idea, that you MUST give a try this year!

Craft Supplies:

  • Light Blue Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • Small Red Paper Heart Doilies
  • Glue Stick or School Glue
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Markers
  • Heart Embellishments

Directions:

  • First trace/trim out your child’s handprint/arm out of the brown cardstock paper. This is the start of the tree branch.
  • Next grab your choice of glue and glue that cutout to the center of the light blue cardstock paper.
  • Now grab your red paper doily and cut it in half to make two equal pieces.
  • Glue those on the tree branch {facing away from each other} to create your two birds.
  • Follow that up by drawing on an orange triangle beak on each and gluing on the googly eyes to make BOTH birds come to life.
  • To finish off the love bird craft – add some small green leaf cutouts on the branch design, as well as adding some heart stickers around the birds as well.
  • When done crafting, set aside to let it dry completely, before displaying proudly!!!

  • Paper Heart Doilies
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Wiggle Eyes

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:

  • First trace/trim out your child's handprint/arm out of the brown cardstock paper. This is the start of the tree branch.
