Handprint Birds On A Branch Canvas

Get creative with your kids and make a beautiful canvas wall art project together! Here’s an easy handprint birds on a branch craft idea for you to try.

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Blank Canvas
  • Various Shades of Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Paint Brushes
  • Baby Wipes

Directions:

  • First decide where to put your child’s handprints {or footprints} on the canvas. You may want to do some test runs on plain paper as well!
  • Once decided, add their prints to the canvas. Simply squirt some paint on the paper plate and paint their hand or foot for this step.
  • Press it down on the canvas.
  • Carefully lift up the hand or foot & remove excess paint with a few baby wipes and a quick trip to the sink.
  • Now you are ready to paint on the other embellishments like eyes, beaks and of course the tree branch & leaves!
  • Set aside the canvas to let it all dry completely.
  • Don’t forget to add your child’s name/age/date on the back!
  • And that’s it! Display it proudly for all to see!
