Let your kid’s imagination take the helm! Create a precious nautical keepsake together with our handprint boat craft idea – perfect for showing off their special little fingerprints.

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Blank Canvas
  • Various Colors of Craft Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • optional materials – scrapbook stickers

Directions:

  • Between each step – be sure to let the paint dry completely so your colors don’t bleed together.
  • First paint one of your child’s hands completely brown and press it down on the canvas. This will be the body of the boat.
  • Remove remaining paint from your child’s hand with a baby wipe {or several – then wash at the sink with soap & water}
  • Next paint on the embellishments to turn the handprint into a boat. Think large sails, circular windows etc.
  • To finish off the Handprint Boat Canvas – simply paint on an ocean embellishments around the canvas.
  • Also add other embellishments you see fit {like scrapbook stickers, glitter etc}
  • Then display proudly or gift away!
