Handprint My Little Love Bird Keepsake

Just print, grab some craft paint & add their handprint to the center of the paper, to complete the “bird” craft!

Craft Supplies:

  • LOVE BIRD Printable
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Ink Pad or Craft Paint
  • Large, Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • Orange Sharpie Marker
  • Small Wiggle Eye – one per bird keepsake
  • School Glue
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First download the Love Bird Themed Printable above. Print it in color on some simple white cardstock. You only need ONE print per craft. Print as many as you like!
  • Next, grab your craft paint or ink pad. Cover your child’s hand completely with color and press it in the center of the printable, right inside the heart wreath. Set aside to let it dry a bit. Remove excess paint/ink with baby wipes and wash their hands afterwards.
  • When dry enough, grab your orange Sharpie marker. Draw on stick legs and a triangle beak to the handprint.
  • Go ahead and glue the wiggle eye in place, as well, to give the bird life!
  • Add other embellishments to give your Handprint Love Bird piece a personalized look.
  • Then display/gift proudly!
