Today’s Cupcake Liner Fish Swimming By To Say Hi kid craft card idea is PERFECT for Father’s Day, to gift a special friend and/or just give to a random stranger to perk up their day on Valentine’s Day!
With this simple handmade card tutorial, your child can make a one-of-a-kind piece that is sure to bring some smiles to anyone’s face!!! Plus with the simple supplies I have listed below {which can be easily substituted with things you might have on hand} this fish craft idea is NOT going to break the bank either!

Looking for a fun and easy craft idea for kids? Try this cupcake liner fish card craft!
Craft Supplies:
- Large Cupcake Liners {any color you like!}
- Colored Cardstock Paper
- Pre-folded Cardstock Cards
- Glue Stick or Tape Runner
- Craft Scissors
- Small Wiggle Eyes – two per fish card
- Letter Scrapbook Stickers or Sharpie Marker
- optional materials – colorful rhinestones, glitter etc.
Directions:
- First have children use their hands to flatten their TWO choice of color, cupcake liners.
- Then fold one in half {the body of the fish} and the other in half, then in half again {for the fin of the fish}
- Glue those down on the pre-folded cardstock card.
- Once the cupcake liner is down, grab some cardstock and cut out a small heart shaped piece for the lips of the fish.
- To finish your “Cupcake Liner Fish – Swimming By To Say Hi” card, have children glue on the cardstock piece in it’s designated spot, as well as a wiggle eye to give it life.
- Finally add your scrapbook stickers or write your words out with a marker, around the newly created design to say “swimming by…”
- Then gift away or display proudly!
