Graduation season is upon us and today I’m sharing a SIMPLE kids craft idea that can be easily framed and turned into a gift for young kids to gift their parents, grandparents or even teachers!

This Graduation Handprint Owl tutorial is super easy to make within minutes and it’s relatively inexpensive too. If you have a printer in your home – you are well on your way to pulling this together and creating a great keepsake to treasure for years to come {plus the finished piece fits nicely in a scrapbook too!}

In this post, I’ve included a FREE gender-neutral owl printable template, so all you need to do is print the file, grab some paint and have your children add their handprints to complete the craft. It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to do it!

Hoot hoot! What are you waiting for? Download the file below and get to work on creating this adorable Handprint Owl. Then place in a beautiful frame or in a scrapbook for the lucky receiver. Whatever you do with it – I hope you enjoy making it with your child! Happy crafting my friends!

Celebrate this special milestone with a personalized keepsake! Get creative and make an adorable handprint owl that you can cherish forever!

Craft Supplies:

  • Graduation Owl Printable
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Large Paint Brush
  • Baby Wipes

Directions:

  • First print out the free template printable on white cardstock paper.
  • Squirt some paint on a paper plate.
  • Paint one of your child’s hands and press it on the printable, next to the owl’s body.
  • Repeat for the other hand/other side.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
  • If desired, add other embellishments you see fit {maybe even the date of graduation or class year on the bottom.}
  • Then display/gift away the handprint graduation owl keepsake proudly! #gluedtomycrafts
