Handprint The Year Flew By Kite Keepsake

Keep those memories alive! As this year comes to a close, make a kite handprint decoration to remember all the precious moments and milestones. Let’s celebrate what we’ve accomplished!

Craft Supplies:

  • Flew By Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Large Paint Brush
  • Baby Wipes
  • Blue Marker or Crayon

Directions:

  • First print out the free “this year flew by” template printable on white cardstock paper. You only need one print per craft.
  • Next up – squirt some craft paint on a paper plate.
  • Rub the paint brush in the paint.
  • Now pick a hand – any hand will do!
  • Paint the palm of your child’s hands completely and then press it down on the printable, right on top of the kite design. Then can spread their fingers or you can direct them to hold them together tightly.
  • Be sure to also wiggle each finger so the paint really transfers to the paper.
  • Now lift up their hand.
  • Use the baby wipes to clean off excess paint from their hand and send them to the sink as well.
  • As for the printable, set it aside to let it dry completely.
  • When ready, and if desired, you are going to add some embellishments to bring it to life. I placed a heart sticker and small bows on mine. I also use a crayon to add some clouds in the background, to really tie the theme together.
  • When you are done decorating, then it’s time to display and/or gift it away proudly on graduation day! #gluedtomycrafts
