Every castle needs a KING so that’s exactly what inspired today’s popsicle stick king craft post!

This latest art project for kids is a simple craft idea that is perfect for boys AND girls alike! Even adults will love joining in on the fun, on this one!

Popsicle Stick Kings - Christmas Kid Craft Idea

This popsicle stick kings craft is perfect for Christmas, a Sunday school lesson on Christ the King or a Three Kings Epiphany art project! Kids will love making this fun and easy craft.

Each craft stick king can be made with a few inexpensive supplies and a little imagination. I’ve made it SUPER EASY in my tutorial below, so you too can bring some one-of-a-kind “emperors” to life with wooden popsicle sticks, cardstock paper and white cotton balls!

Did I mention this king kids craft idea is also great for Christmas? Or a Sunday school lesson celebrating Christ The King or a Three Kings Epiphany craft? Maybe even in a puppet play scenario after a story time gathering? You could even hot glue some string to the back of each one so you can hang them on the tree or in your home. So many ideas, I just hope I inspire you today!

Popsicle Stick Kings - Christmas Kid Craft Idea

These easy to make wood & cotton balls kings are the perfect craft idea for any king’s day event.

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • School Glue
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Small Craft Rhinestones
  • White Cotton Balls
  • Craft Scissors
  • Large Wiggle Eyes

Directions:

  • First grab three popsicle sticks {three per king} and glue them together to look like a triangle.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Repeat for each king craft you want to make today.
  • While those are drying, grab your cardstock paper and cut a triangular shape that will be placed within the popsicle stick design and be the face of the king.
  • At this time, you should also cut out a crown and circular nose from the remaining cardstock.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Kings – have children glue their paper pieces in place, as well as a full cotton ball beard and two wiggle eyes.
  • Then add other embellishments they see fit to complete the look.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
