Inspired by the beloved and most famous classic Christmas story ballet, today’s paper plate Mouse King idea is a must-do this holiday season! A fun and creative way to create your own version of “The Nutcracker” ballet. The kids will love it!
Craft Supplies:
- Large Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Gray Craft Paint
- Paint Brush
- CROWN Printable – on our landing page
- Yellow Cardstock Paper
- Gray Cardstock Paper
- Black Cardstock Paper
- Large Googly Eyes
- School Glue
- Stapler
Directions:
- First things first – trim down your large paper plate so it looks like a large triangle.
- Discard excess paper plate pieces.
- Next up – grab your gray craft paint and the paint brush.
- Go ahead and paint the triangle piece completely gray.
- When done, set aside to let it dry completely.
- Now grab your crown printable {print it on YELLOW cardstock paper.}
- Trim out the crown design and discard excess paper.
- If desired, go ahead and decorate the crown piece with glitter, rhinestones etc.
- Out of the two remaining pieces of cardstock paper, cut out ears and a nose for your mouse.
- Now we are ready to assemble! To finish the Paper Plate Mouse King craft, glue the eyes on and staple the ears & paper crown to the paper plate.
- Finally staple on his nose and display it proudly for all to see!
