Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate {one per flag craft}
  • Red Craft Paint
  • White Craft Paint
  • Washi Tape or Painter’s Tape
  • Dark Blue Cardstock Paper
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Hand Held Stapler
  • Kid Friendly Craft Scissors

Directions:

  • First tape off your paper plate with the washi tape. Your lines don’t have to be perfect but you will want each section to be about the same thickness.
  • Now squirt some RED craft paint in the center of the paper plate.
  • Have children move the paint around and completely cover the plate.
  • Once done, quickly remove the washi tape stripes {some paper plate might come up with it but that’s alright}
  • To finish off the Paper Plate Flag, cut out a small rectangle from the blue cardstock, add some “stars” with the white craft paint and then staple it onto the paper plate to complete the flag design.
  • Then display proudly! Don’t forget to share pictures with us when you are done! #gluedtomycrafts
