#BeTheChange and support our brave soldiers! This free printable tag is a gentle reminder to show love and appreciation, as these heroes sacrifice so much for us every day.

Every Day Reminder - Take This Soldier Home Tag Printable

“Please take this soldier home and place it somewhere that will remind you to pray for our men and women serving our country.”

If you are new around here, a “fun” fact about me is that I’m a military spouse. More specifically, an Air Force spouse and my husband has been serving for 18 years now. It’s what brought us to sunny Florida, at the moment 🙂

So you can imagine, anything military related really tugs at my heart.

I have seen these “take this soldier home to remind you” basket signs before {in restaurants and most recently at the local auto repair shop} and it sparked me to make my own version to share with you all. I had a gift tag in mind when I was brainstorming and here it is today!

Every Day Reminder - Take This Soldier Home Tag Printable

Show your support for our troops! Print out this #EveryDayReminder and post it in a place you’ll see often – a daily reminder to keep those who serve close to our hearts.

The reason why I had a gift tag in mind is because I was thinking people could hand these out for the upcoming Veteran’s Day holiday.

The “take this soldier home” versions I have seen in person and on Pinterest in the past, have been a basket full of plastic soldiers with a attention-grabbing sign near it, stating to grab one and take it home.

Although I LOVE this version {I really do!} I “think” if you make a few little trinket bags to hand out in person, it will be well received as well. Especially if you don’t have a good place to set up “said” basket for all to see but you still want to get the message out.

So whether you are attending and/or planning an event on Veteran’s Day {November 11th} or you just want to give these little reminders away at a random moments throughout the year, I hope our “take a soldier” printable gift tag idea comes in handy for you.

I guess I should also add, this idea is not just for Veteran’s Day either – every day is a good day to remember our troops!

HOW TO GRAB THE FREE FILE:

  • Now for the download! The file is free to you and you can find it through our box.com link. Just access it, print it on simple white cardstock paper, in color and trim out each section for you to use in your gifting needs. There are FOUR tags in each print.
  • Also – the soldiers I’m planning on placing with mine, are from Dollar Tree from the kid toy section. I believe there are 24 plastic soldiers in the pack, so one dollar will go a long way! Dollar Tree also has a great selection of small gift bags, so it can be a one-stop-shop as well!
  • A special thanks go out to Molly Van Roekel who owns the Etsy shop Digital Press Creations. The beautiful watercolor flag and firework design you see in this gift tag print, is straight from her shop and I’m extra thankful I was able to use it for this idea.
  • And finally – just like with all my free printables on Glued To My Crafts, please only print and use these for your personal use. This Patriotic Soldier Gift Tag Printable is free to you, so please no altering, selling or claiming as your own. Also no business use either. When sharing these on the internet – please give credit where is due. Please link directly to this post and not to the download area. Thank you!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
