
Paper Bag Penguin Puppet Craft Idea For Kids
The stores are slowly {but surely} filling up with the Valentine’s Day merchandise. Have you been starting your shopping yet?!
If you happen to come across those pretty white paper heart doilies – be sure to pick up a pack {or two} for your craft stash. I have several different kid friendly ideas coming up on the blog and you don’t want to miss out because you don’t have the right materials.
I’m starting the doily crafting madness today with this Valentine Penguin Puppet craft tutorial! As always – it’s super easy to pull together and fun for ALL ages. This penguin is wearing his black suit & tie for you, so what are you waiting for? Pull out those supplies and get to work!

Paper Bag Penguin Craft Supplies:
* Large Paper Bag – one per penguin craft {brown or white works}
* Paper Doilies – two per penguin craft {medium sized/white}
* Black Craft Paint
* Paint Brush
* Basic Paper Craft Scissors
* Orange Cardstock Paper
* Black Cardstock Paper
* Glue Stick
* Large Wiggle Eyes – two per penguin craft
optional materials – Valentine hearts, stickers etc.
Directions:
* First have your child paint their paper bag completely black. Set aside to let it dry.
* Next have your child cut one paper heart doily in half. Reserve the top half for the penguin’s face. Don’t forget to also cut out arms for the penguin from the black cardstock, as well as a nose and some feet from the orange cardstock.
* Once the paper bag is completely dry, it’s time to assemble the penguin.
* Glue the paper heart doilies to the front of the paper bag, just like in the above picture.
* Then glue {or staple on} the arms and feet, as well as the nose. Don’t forget the wiggle eyes so he can see!
* Finally add any other embellishments you see fit before displaying/playing with your paper bag penguin friend proudly!

Tools:
- Paint Brush
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
Supplies:
- Large Paper Bag
- Paper Doilies
- Craft Paint
- Cardstock Paper
- Large Wiggle Eyes
- Embellishments
Instructions:
- First have your child paint their paper bag completely black. Set aside to let it dry.
