Tye Dye Coffee Filter Pumpkin Craft
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – coffee filters are an amazing thing to stockpile when it comes to crafting with children. They are not super expensive, don’t take up much room in your craft stash and are really versatile when it comes to kid friendly activities.
Take for example, this Tye Dye Coffee Filter Pumpkin my son and I recently made together.
It’s the perfect fall afternoon craft and it’s super easy to assemble {just how I like it!} If kids love coloring and spraying water – they are going to LOVE this! Fun for all ages so let’s grab our craft materials and make it happen!
Find all the supplies and directions below for this coffee filter pumpkin idea. Happy crafting, my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures of your child’s pumpkins on our Facebook page! #gluedtomycrafts

Unleash your creative genius! Try this fun and easy coffee filter pumpkin craft with the kids – perfect for a fall afternoon!
Craft Supplies:
- White Coffee Filters
- Stapler
- Orange Dot Marker
- Spray Bottle w/water
- Paper Plate or Paper Towels
- Brown Cardstock Paper
- Scissors
- Green Pipe Cleaner
Directions:
- Grab THREE coffee filters per pumpkin craft you want to make.
- Stack them on top of each other and flatten them out with your hands.
- Take your stapler and secure the three coffee filters all together. Two-three staplers along the edge should do.
- Now decorate the coffee filter stack, however you want with the orange marker.
- When you are done coloring the coffee filters, grab the spray bottle and spray the coffee filters down, until the color starts to bleed throughout them.
- When done with the water step, lay the wet coffee filters on a paper plate or paper towels to let them dry completely.
- When the filters are dry enough, secure your other pumpkin embellishments like a stem {brown cardstock} vein {curled pipe cleaner} and anything else you see fit {maybe some jack-o-lantern paper features!}
- Then display your coffee filter pumpkin creations proudly for all to see! #gluedtomycrafts
