Cute NOT Scary Coffee Filter Monsters

Today’s Coffee Filter Monsters kid craft was recently a BIG hit in our home. LIKE HUGE!

Not only is it perfect for Halloween – but this DIY is also really inexpensive, fun for kids of all ages and can be made from random items you probably already have in your home, right now!

It’s so easy! With a few simple steps – you too can make these adorable tye-dye colored monsters with your child AND also learn a new way to use those markers in your stash!

Coffee Filter Monsters {Kid Craft}

Get the little ones in your life excited about crafting with this easy tutorial for coffee filter monsters!

CRAFT SUPPLIES:

  • Large, White Coffee Filters
  • Hand Held Office Stapler
  • Large Paper Plate
  • Paint Brushes
  • Craft Paint {any colors you like!}
  • Large Wiggle Eyes
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Craft Scissors
  • School Glue

DIRECTIONS:

  • First grab THREE coffee filters per monster craft you want to make today.
  • Stack them on top of each other and flatten them out with your hands.
  • Take your stapler and secure the three coffee filters all together. Two-three staplers along the edge should do.
  • Now place your coffee filter stack on a large paper plate.
  • Have your child “paint” the coffee filters with various colors of craft paint.
  • Once done, hang or set aside your coffee filters to let them dry completely.
  • To finish off the #cutenotscary monsters, cut out facial features and pointy triangle ears from your cardstock.
  • Go ahead and glue those to the decorated coffee filters, along with several wiggle eyes in the center.
  • Then display it proudly for ALL to see!
