Handprint Monster Puppets
Kids feeling a little bored this summer? No worries! With today’s crafty idea YOU and your child can have a full on live entertaining show in the living room with our simple Mommy’s Little Monster Handprint Puppets kid craft idea!
This kid friendly craft activity is PERFECT for children of ALL ages and honestly has no real rules or a wrong way to do it! With complete customization at your child’s fingertips there is sure to be endless fun with this one!
So don’t be scared! The full tutorial can be found below and the supplies are inexpensive & probably hiding in your home right now {hello easy!} So let’s get to creating!

Get your little monsters ready to create their own personalized handprint puppets! This fun Mommy and Me craft project is sure to bring out their imaginations and get those creative juices flowing.
Craft Supplies:
- Cardstock Paper
- Pen/Marker
- Paper Scissors
- School Glue
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Wiggle Eyes
Directions:
- First trace your child’s hands on the cardstock.
- Repeat for each puppet you want to make today {you need ONE paper handprint cutout per monster puppet.}
- Trim the handprint design out with scissors.
- Now it’s time for the embellishments! Glue on our wiggle eyes {the more the better} and draw on some silly faces.
- At this point in time you can add other embellishments you see fit {like feathers, rhinestones or even yarn hair!}
- To finish off the Handprint Monsters -glue your jumbo popsicle sticks to the back of each pieces to make it easy for puppet play.
- Then set it all aside to let it dry completely before the puppet show!
- Don’t forget to save them after you play, in a scrapbook for safekeeping!
