Tissue Paper Mosaic Mason Jar Vase – Kid Craft
Yesterday on Glued To My Crafts I shared a cute Mother’s Day gift idea in-cooperating little handprints. {If you missed it – be sure to check it out!} Today’s kid craft idea is a little more hands on for children and makes for a great gift. It’s also not just for kids either!
Recently Lil Man and I took a simple mason jar and turned it into a beautiful piece. It was really simple and something we could do together. He got to stick the tissue paper down, while I got to handle the glue. Teamwork at it’s finest.
If you are still on the fence on what to get the special ladies in your life this coming Mother’s day holiday – may I suggest you check out this tutorial? Who wouldn’t love getting a one-of-a-kind vase? Maybe the receiver would love beautiful flowers in it too ;)
Find all the details for this simple craft idea below! Happy crafting, my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures of your child’s finished vase creations with us on our Facebook page to admire! #gluedtomycrafts

Easy Mother’s Day Vase Craft Supplies:
* Large Mason Jar – clean, empty and lid removed
* Colorful Tissue Paper
* Paper Scissors
* Mod Podge or School Glue
* Paint Brush
* Small Paper Plate
* Flowers For Inside Vase
* optional – loose craft glitter, ribbon
Directions:
* First cut up your tissue paper into 1×1″ squares.
* Squirt some modge podge or school glue on your paper plate.
* Starting on one side of the mason jar, paint a good layer of glue on it.
* Now take one tissue paper square and lay it on top of the glue.
* Continue doing this step until the entire mason jar is covered in tissue paper and glue. You will want it to look like patchwork. Layer different colors on top of each other to make different colors and patterns.
* To finish it off – cover it all with another layer of Mod Podge on top of the tissue paper to seal it all in.
* If desired {and the glue is still wet} add a sprinkle or two of loose craft glitter on top of your pattern design.
* When ready, set it aside to allow it to dry completely.
* For added flair, tie some twine or ribbon around the jar like gift packaging.
* Then fill your beautiful mosaic mason jar vase with water and flowers & gift away!
